What is RBA?
RBA or Rules Based Automation is the object oriented framework for instructing Prinergy and other products to automatically perform actions based on events. RBA can be expanded to function outside the user interface using custom code and triggers.
What makes you an expert in RBA?
Great question! I spent 15 years at Kodak in workflow product development and professional services creating custom RBA solutions for Prinergy users that wanted to reach new markets and grow profits. I know the Prinergy/InSite Workflow and RBA inside and out.
How can you integrate my home-grown or corporate MIS with Prinergy?
Any system that has the ability to generate and post job ticket data (i.e. XML, CSV, JSON) can be integrated with Prinergy via Rules Based Automation. Once the data is read into RBA the automation and data reporting possibilities are endless.
Does Prinergy have an API?
No. But, there are methods of triggering rules using the command line or hot folders. Conversely, RBA can be coded to write XML or call an API to report page processing data or job status. We have created custom interfaces for many clients that require pertinent production data reported in real time.
What level of efficiency can I expect from full automation?
Most customers can realize up to a 75% increase in job processing efficiency when full automation is adopted. We have seen customers improve job cycles of 3-4 days to < 1 day.
